About Dropsignal

Real-world visibility for podcasters

Subscribe to a metro. Your show appears on digital screens across the city.

The story

Podcast discovery is saturated. Every creator is fighting for attention in the same feeds, the same algorithms, the same platforms. Growth plateaus are common. The tools available — paid social, in-app promotion — feel detached from real listeners in real places.

Out-of-home advertising has always been powerful but inaccessible. Agencies, five-figure minimums, custom media plans. Campaign-based buying that doesn't fit how podcasters actually create — continuously, episode after episode.

Dropsignal connects those two things. Subscribe to a metro. Your show appears on digital screens across the city — billboards, transit shelters, urban kiosks. Publish an episode, the creative refreshes automatically. No agencies. No media plans. Just pick your metro and go.

How it's different

Subscription, not campaigns

Podcasters publish continuously. Their presence should be continuous too. A monthly subscription that compounds over time — not a one-off campaign that disappears.

Automatic creative

Publish an episode and the screens update. No design briefs, no agency back-and-forth. Your existing workflow is the trigger.

Proof it ran

Every play is logged — timestamp, location, creative. Over time, you see whether your listener base is growing in that metro. Directional trends you can actually use.

Who's behind it

Dropsignal is an Archway project, built by Christian Aaselund. Before Dropsignal, Christian spent over a decade as CTO at Clear Channel Outdoor — building and scaling the technology behind digital out-of-home advertising, including pioneering programmatic OOH.

That experience is why this product exists. The infrastructure to make OOH accessible to smaller buyers is finally here. Someone just needed to build the product around it.
