Dropsignal's bot

Dropsignal builds ads from the pages a business already publishes. To do that, our bot visits a website and reads the page for each thing it sells: the photo, the headline and the link.

When we read a site

We read a site when someone enters it on dropsignal.co to see their plan, or when we build a demo for a business. We re-read a customer's site once a day so new items get ads and sold ones come down.

How to recognise us

Every request carries the user agent Dropsignal/1.0 (+https://dropsignal.co/bot) and a Web Bot Auth signature. Our public keys are at https://dropsignal.co/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory.

How we behave

We follow robots.txt. We never try to get past a challenge or a CAPTCHA.

To allow or block us

Allow verified bots, or our key, in your bot management settings. To block us, add a rule for Dropsignal to your robots.txt:
